Boating Skills and Seamanship

The U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Boating Skills and Seamanship (BS&S) program is comprehensive and designed for both the experienced and the novice boater. The program, now in its 13th edition published in 2007. Flotilla 95's course is held twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm) for 4 weeks at the Coast Guard Auxiliary Station in Caxambas Park with material taught by experienced Auxiliarists.

Many insurance companies will offer discounts on boat insurance to individuals who successfully complete this 10 session program. Individuals who successfully complete the program and exam are awarded certificates and pocket cards from the Flotilla in addition to The Florida Safe Boaters Card from the State of Florida.

Cost: $50 per participant
